The Cameroon Rugby Federation has postponed the African rugby tournament which was scheduled take place in Yaounde from May 6 to 13

A note posted on the official Facebook page of the federation over the weekend, said the competition dubbed Bronze Africa Cup will rather take place by the end of June this year. Journal du Cameroon gathered the postponement was prompted by disagreements between the Cameroon rugby federation and the Confederation of African Rugby.

The federation post read “”African cup is falling into place. Under the distinguished patronage of the President, His Excellency Paul Biya; Cameroon, in partnership with Rugby Africa is preparing to host group C of the Bronze Africa. Our brothers from Nigeria and Algeria will be in Yaounde from June 25 to July 1 “.

Cameroon has hired Philippe Saint-André, French-born rugby coach to lead the national rugby team through the competition.
