The Prime Minister Head of Government Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute has praised the personnel of the Kumba District hospital for their resilience in the treatment of patients.
Visiting the hospital premises today Thursday May 16 in the first stop of his visit to Kumba, Joseph Dion Ngute described the personnel as the “Indomitable Lions of Health”, for braving all security threads to treat patients.
He reportedly encouraged staff members and urged them to pursue with their mission in saving lives.
Joseph Dion Ngute equally reassured the workers that the Government will repay all those who are losing property in the course of the crisis when it comes to an end. “ There is a time for everything…God willing this crisis will stop…..and when that turn comes, we will take stock of those who lost all their belongings” the Prime Minister said.
The Kumba district hospital was burnt down on the eve of the 11th of February by alleged separatist fighters. The incident reportedly resulted in the deaths of several patients and caused considerable damage.
