There was panic in Bamenda, North West region of Cameroon this morning after a human head was discovered around the Hospital Roundabout neighbourhood.

The head was reportedly abandond at the roundabout by suspected separatist fighters with some locals saying it could be that of a soldier.

Security forces immediately stormed the scene firing shots in the air as locals all fled with and businesses shut down for fear of the unknown.

This is the second person beheaded in just under 48 hours in the restive Anglophone regions after a gendarme officer was beheaded in Muyuka on Tuesday night.
