At  least 62 private secondary schools have been banned in four regions in the country by the Ministry of Secondary Education.

The schools are accused of not having the proper documentation to operate.

The ban was made public on July 29 after a report from the identification and control mission of the national control brigade for secondary schools.

22 schools were shut down in the Littoral region after the control region as 14 school were hit by the ban in the Centre region.

The ban comes exactly one month to the new academic year which kicks off on September 2  as parents have been warned to cross check before registering their children in these private schools.
