According to official statistics, the HIV/AIDS prevalence rate in Cameroon is currently at 3.4 percent. The figure indicates a drop compared to 4.3 percent in 2011 and 3.9 percent in 2016.
However among Cameroonian adults aged 15-64, the HIV/AIDS prevalence rate varies by region raging from 6.3 percent in the South region to 1.5 percent in the Far North region.
