The Governor of the North West Region Adolphe Lele LAfrique has modified the curfew schedule in his area of jurisdiction.

In a communiqué signed at the weekend, the Governor said the curfew will now run from 9pm to 6am contrary to 6pm to 6am.

“The governor wishes to inform the population of the North West region that the regional order restricting movement of persons and Property withing the North West region has been modified to run from 9pm to 6am with effect from Saturday November 24th, 2018” the release read.

Cosequently residents of the North West region will have three extra hours to go about their activities which has not been the case in the past months.

The Governor expressed his gratitude to the population for their sacrifice and understanding in these past months and called on them to remain vigilant in the face of insecurity.

The move from the Governor has been welcomed by the population who said they were inancially crumbling under the previous dispensation as businesses had come to a stand still.
