Several activities are going on at the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Douala in honour of the deceased Archbishop Emeritus of Douala, Christian Cardinal Tumi.
The mortal remains of the prelate was removed from the mortuary of the Douala Military Hospital in Bonanjo, Douala on Monday morning followed by a brief mass which was attended by personalities of the region.
The corpse was then taken to the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral where a requiem mass was presided over by the Apostolic Nuncio to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, Mgr. Julio Murat and led by the Ecclessiastical Province of Douala.
A second mass will be held at 4pm and will be led by the Bamenda Ecclessiastical Province while the third mass comes up at 8pm and the final mass at 11pm.
