A man identified as David Kegne has been reportedly gun down by two unidentified armed men in a street in Bonanjo, an administrative neighbourhood in Cameroon’s political capital Douala, sources have said.
The incident happened this Monday morning around one of the banks found in Bonanjo.
According to reports, two men, one of whom was identified as David Kegne were on their way to deposit the sum of 20 Million FCFA in a bank when they were attacked by two unidentified armed bandits.
The two bandits reportedly opened fire several times on the unfortunate men, leaving David Kegne dead, and the other one shot arround the chest.
Reports from the region say after that, they fired several other shots in the air before vanishing with the 20 Million FCFA on a bike.
The remains of late David have been deposited at the Military Hospital Bonanjo, where his friend is currently receiving treatment.
Alerted on the situation, security forces of the Territorial Gendarmerie Brigade reported to the scene and opened an investigation to track down the culprits.
