The Anglophone lawyer who was kidnapped on Tuesday November 27 in Bamenda by unidentified gunmen has been released, sources have confirmed.
Barrister Suh Fuh Benjamin was released on Wednesday shortly after midday as he was welcomed by family members but details of his release were not released.
His abduction had drawn widespread condemnation with lawyers and members of the civil society calling for his immediate release.
Akere Muna said those who committed the acts were so ungrateful to lawyers who have been defending Anglophone activists in court for free.
“The authors of this misfortune were misguided. As a consequence they should proceed to realease him immediately and let us concentrate on on freeing our brothers and sisters languishing in jail,” Akere Muna said.
