The Senior Divisional Officer for the Mfoundi Division Jean Claude Tsila has reiterated that public protests within his area of jurisdiction are banned.

In a communiqué published on Thursday January 24, the SDO for the Mfoundi division took the lead to ban any protests in his division ahead of Maurice Kamto’s nationwide “White march” on January 26.

Maurice Kamto has called on his supporters as well as Cameroonians to join him on the streets on January 26 to protest against what he describes as “electoral hold up” as well as the government’s failure to resolve the crisis in the North West and South  West regions of the country.

However, the SDO for Mfoundi has called on the population in his area of jurisdiction to remain calm, patriotic and ignore calls for any street protests.
