Junior parliamentarians have pledged to commit themselves to fighting for the rights of children in Cameroon and to preserve and reinforce National solidarity.
The junior MPs were speaking today in Yaounde during their 21st ordinary session that took place under the chairmanship of House speaker the Right Cavaye Yeguei Djibril and members of government and representatives of some international partners.
During the session, the children addressed some trending issues affecting some of their mates such as the need for every child to own a birth certificate and the fight against drug abuse in school milieu.
At the end of the deliberations, public authorities promised to intensify the fight against the proliferation of drugs in schools and guarantee every child gets a birth certificate with limited procedures.
The junior MPs on their part promised to be architects of peace and promote living together in the country.
