Cameroon’s Judiciary has installed a 22 man vote counting commission for the final counting of votes in the just ended  presidential elections.

Installing the members into their functions yesterday, the President of the Constitutional Council, Clement Atangana said their duty is to objectively and diligently compute the results from the 58 divisions of the country and the diaspora and submit their report within 5 days.

Given the context in which the commission is working, the President of the commission said, candidates declarion of winning the elections will not affect their work. “It is declaration made out of the law”.

“We have a job to do and we are doing only that for which the law has entitles us.”

The commissions is made up of representatives from the nine candidates who took part in the election, two supreme state judges, five representatives of administration, five representatives from Elections Cameroon.
