The insecurity in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon keeps paralysing activities in that part of the country despite the failure of administrative officials to admit the fact.

The Divisional Officer of Alou, Lebialem Division of the South West region has convened a meeting in Dschang to prepare for the National Day celebrations.

Due to the insecurity in Alou, the meeting can not hold in the locality but in neighbouring Dschang in the West region of Cameroon.

A source at the Alou Council said most administrative officials have relocated to Dschang from where they work and only go back to the locality heavily guarded by soldiers in case of an emergency.

However, the Assistant Senior Divisional Officer of Lebialem Division two weeks ago signed a communiqué calling on all civil servants and state agents to return to the division assuring them of their security.

But the situation on the ground is a stark contrat of what the administrative officials present and the holding of a meeting in another region is testament to the insecurity in the area.
