The death of the Social Democratic Front Parliamentary Group leader at the National Assembly Hon Banadzem, was announced by SDF National Secretary for Communication, Denis Nkemlemo.
Hon. Joseph Banadzem Lukong died at the Yaounde General Hospital in the early hours of Saturday March 30, 2019 at about 3am from a protracted illness.
His passing away has been described as a “big lost to the family, SDF Group in the National Assembly and the National Assembly as well.”
Reacting to his death, Hon Awudu Mbaya Cyprian, Questor in the National Assembly and SDF MP said “He was a man who knew how to manage people, property and finances put at his disposal.”
Hon. Enow Tanjong, eldest member of the National Assembly and CPDM MP for Manyu constituency considering the deceased as a dynamic person, regretted his sudden disappearance.
Hon. Joseph Lukong Banadzem was a dignitary of the Nso fondom in Bui division of the North West Region of Cameroon.
Before coming to the National Asembly in 2002, Hon. Banadzem was a History lecturer in the then Higher Teacher’s Training college-Annex Bambili for 16years.
He was holder of a Doctorate, DEA, Masters and Bachelor’s Degree in History, obtained at the University of Sorbonne, France.
He leaves behind a wife and five children.
