A member of staff of the Government Technical High School Njinikejem, Belo Sub division of the North West region is reported to have been killed by unidentified gunmen on Monday December 10.

Njang Renata, secretary at the school was found lying in her own pool of  blood at a roadsidde bush after she was reportedly shot by armed men who suspect her of being a “spy”, sources say.

Attempts to save her life were futile as the population arrived on the scene when the gunmen had taken off and Mrs. Njang had already given up the ghost.

School authorities as well as family members are yet to issue any statement on the inciden. Targeted killings have increased in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon as as civilians pay the heavy price in the battle between security forces and pro independence fighters.
