The United States Assistant Secretary for African Affairs Tibor Nagy has taken a swipe at the government of Cameroon in its handling of the crisis in the North West and South West regions of the country.
Tibor Nagy who was before the US Congress Foreig Affairs Committee on Thursday May 16 said the government of Cameroon has done nothing to resolve the conflict in the North West and South West regions of the country.
Tibor Nagy said during his visit to Cameroon where he met with the Head of State, Paul Biya promised to open dialogue so as to find a solution to the conflict.
Instead, the military has carried on burning houses and villages, forcing civilians to flee for safety, Tibor Nagy said while ;calling on the United States to double efforts and commitment to see an end to the crisis.
Tibor Nagy was speaking today after he expressed satisfaction yesterday on the Aria Formula meeting on Cameroon held at the United Nations Security Council on Monday.
