The 6th edition of the Festival of arts and culture dubbed FESTAC is ongoing in the Friendship city of Limbe in the South West region of Cameroon.
The cultural show that draws participants from in and out of Cameroon ends on Saturday April 13, 2019.
From the display of the carnival on the launching day of the festival to the different cultural ballets danced so far, each tribe present at this annual cultural meeting has made her presence felt through reported outstanding dancing steps.
The Bakweris with their Maele and Chacha dances opened the stage. Then came the people of the Grassfield with their Samba, Mbanghalum, Benskin dances amongst others.
They were followed by the Otitie Group of the South and Centre Regions who presented the Merengue dance, and finally the Grand North came with their horses and Sahelian Songs.
People from Nigeria and Ghana reportedly came up with impressive cultural ballets.
The Limbe FESTAC according to its initiator Andrew Motanga Monjimba, is intended to break cultural boarders and bring together cultures and tribes from all over Cameroon and beyond.
