Cameroon-EU experts to discuss EPA impact

An interactive discussion  on the impact of the Economic Partnership Agreement, EPA, signed between Cameroon and the European Union, EU, on the country’s public finance as well as a tool that will enable government keep tab on state accounts will come under review in a workshop to be held at the International Relations Institute, IRIC, Yaoundé.

The exercise to begin at 2pm,  falls within the context of Cameroon’s exigencies for a modern economy.

Officials from Cameroon’s Finance sector, say the interactions will serve as a guide to sustainably optimise the mobilisation of internal revenue that the economy can generate.

To them, the instruments which monitors the impact of the EPA on public finance takes into account the list of products that are liberalise following the terms of the August 2016 agreement whose life span is 15 years.
