282 mobile phones including 240 manual phones and 42 android ones illegally smuggled into Cameroon have been seized at the Selou Semba control post in the Adamawa region of Cameroon.
According to a tweet posted by the Cameroon Customs, the goods were seized by elements of the zone 3 Halcomi operation engaged in the fight against illicit commerce in that part of the country Monday April 26 in the evening.
The smuggled phones were being transported on motorcycles to fool the vigilance of security elements at check points.
In the same vain, the Customs has announced the seizure of 2,700 contraband bottles of Orijin beer produced by Guinness transported in a truck alongside other goods.

The contraband beer bottles illegally smuggled from neighbouring country Nigeria were seized by elements of the Bafoussam Mobile Customs Brigade in the West region early Monday April 26.
The Cameroon Customs has been on alert for many months now intercepting a good number of diverse contraband and smuggled goods especially from Nigeria.
