Cameroonians have been encouraged to give privilege to confinement as the country battles to curtail the spread of the Coronavirus Pandemic which has so far made fifty-six cases with the first two patients treated.
In a tweet Monday evening, the Minister of Public Health, Dr Malachie Manaouda emphasises the need to stay home in the midst of a virus which continue spreading like wild fire worldwide.
“It is important that everyone stays at home as long as they can, to avoid coming into contact with other people and thus allowing the virus to circulate…” Dr Malachie Manaouda said in his tweet.
He took the opportunity to re-echo the need to respect hygiene rules and the notion of social distancing as prescribed by the government and the World Health Organization and as such, render service to the nation.
Cameroon has so far confirmed fifty-six cases of Coronavirus infected persons on its soil recorded in two weeks.
In order to contain this rapid spread, the Government put in place some measures which according to reports on the field, Cameroonians seem to take for granted, leaving many observers expressing worries for danger ahead.
