Cotonsport of Garoua have qualified for the next round of the Caf Champions League after defeating ASF Bobodiolasso of Burkina Faso 4-3 on post match penalties.
The Cotonites defeated their counterpart on Tuesday December 4 in the second leg play off match at the Yaounde military stadium.
Cotonsport of Garoua went into the game trailing 3-1 from the first leg but soon made up the deficit with a first half double from veteran striker Kamilou Daouda.
However the Burkinabes pegged back the Cameroonians with a second half goal before Francis Elimbi restored Cotonsport’s two-goal cushion to send the game to spot kicks.
Cotonsport later emerged 5-3 on spot kicks to sail to the next round of the competition.
