The corpses of two Nigerian missionaries were on Wednesday November 14 retrieved from a river, along the Mokolo fall in the Far North region of Cameroon.
The missionaries Stanley Ogheme and John Bruno Nwachukwu and other colleagues had been in Cameroon since Sunday for evangelism and went swimming at the river side before one was carried away by the waves from the dam at the fall.
In an attempt to save his colleague’s life, the other priest dived into the river but was also swept by the waves as all attempts to retrieve their bodies were futile.
Their corpses were only seen floating on the river in the early hours of Wednesday before the army rescue unit came in and retrieve them before heading for the mortuary.
