Cameroon’s Prime Minister Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute will this Tuesday preside over a crisis meeting on the management of the COVID-19 pandemic which continue to torment the world.
According to reports, the meeting will take place in the conference room of the Star Building.
During this meeting, Public Health Minister Malachie Manaouda is expected to present measures so far taken at the level of his Ministry to stop the importation and combat the spread of the virus in Cameroon.
Some of these measures have been widely criticized by Cameroonians who keep asking the Government to close its borders especially with countries reporting cases of Coronavirus like France and Italy.
As of today, Cameroon has confirmed five Coronavirus cases on its territory, four Cameroonians and one French citizen, most of whom came from France.
According to a post from the Cameroon Radio Television, the first two cases isolated at the Yaounde Central Hospital have been cured and are now under medical observation.
In the meantime, Cameroonians have been urged to double vigilance and observe the recommended hygiene rules to limit the spread of the virus.
