The Governor of the Centre region, Naseri Paul Bea has suspended the holding of events in his area of command till further notice.

 

In a note signed Thursday March 24, Governor Naseri says this decision follows the recent upsurge in the number of people infected by the deadly Coronavirus pandemic.

He has equally called on the population of the Centre region to strictly respect barrier measures outlined by the Government to stop the spread of the pandemic.

According to recent figures, the Centre region is the epicentre of the virus.

In line with the above order, the Senior Divisional Officer for the Mfoundi cancelled artiste Peti Peti’s concert that was schedulled for this Friday in Yaounde.
