The Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril has summoned Members of Parliament for the March 2019 Ordinary session.

The session will start on March 12 at 11 O’ Clock as the parliamentary year is launched, the Speaker of the National Assembly said in a communiqué.

Though no agenda was given in the communiqué, it is expected that this first session of the year will see the election of a bureau as well as the examination of bills that will be tabled.

The Members of Parliament will thus be starting a new extra year in office after the Head of State extended their mandate last year for an additional 12 months.
