It has been almost a month since the school saw three of its pupils dying after having lunch. Another pupil mysteriously died last March 16.
The Cameroon Baptist Convention Primary school records another dead pupil. This for the second time in one month. Before now , it was three class six pupils dying after eating at break time. 16th March , a class two pupil, named Kerem Loko passed away.
The school’s Head teacher, Nshang Godfrey explains that it was during the morning hours of a school day that little Kerem came to him complaining of not feeling well.
He says after her complaint, she was sent home while he went to the Inspectorate of Basic Education. Being there, he was called asking him to go to the Buea regional hospital, “I got there and met a corpse. I was shocked,” declares the Head teacher.“
The cause of Kerem Loko’s death has not yet been made known. According to sources, the corpse was carried to Edeia a locality situated near Malende in Munyuka Subdivision.
With these different plagues rocking the school which eventually caused a shut down of the institution, many are still under shock. In a bit to understand what is going on the school’s administration decided to have a meeting with parents on the school campus.
