At least three women have had their ears chopped off in the Far North region following an attack from suspected Boko Haram fighters, sources have said.
The Boko Haram fighters attacked Kalagari village on Tuesday night, chasing away villagers and vigilante groups before taking the women hostage.
They then proceeded to commit inhumane acts on te women, chopping off the ears of at least three and leaving others injured before taking off.
The women are receivng treatment in a local health facility as security has been reinforced in the village.
