At least four persons were killed and four others injured on Saturday night during an attack by Boko Haram fighters in the Far North region of Cameroon, security sources have said.

The attackers are said to have launched their assault on the locality of Fofia, Blangoua sb division in the Logone and Chari Division, around the Lake Chad, destroying a security post as well as houses, sources said.

Amongst the four persons killed was a Cameroonian soldier, Kalaki Frank, who was on duty that night prompting soldiers of the Multinational Joint Taskforcce to launch an assault on the attackers.

Thiss iss the eight Cameroonian soldier that haas been killed in March by Boko Haraam fighters who have intenssified attacks in the Far North region of late.
