The secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh has granted a farewell audience to the outgoing European Union Ambassador to Cameroon, Francoise Collet.

During the forum, the two diplomats discussed issues related to the economic situation in Cameroon and the frequent threat from the boko haram terrorist group.

Both personalities also expressed satisfaction at the excellent cooperation between the European Union and Cameroon in diverse aspects.

Francoise Collet leaves Cameroon after a sojourn of four years during which she supported the road safety campaigns by the National Gendarmerie and also helped in the provision of EU scholarships to Cameroonian students amongst others.

The EU diplomat arrived Cameroon on 16th October 2017 as the EU Country Representative. She served the Republic of Benin for four years before accredited to Cameroon
