Relative calm has returned to the city of Limbe, Fako Division in the South West region after two police inspectors were shot dead last night by armed men, sources say.
Reports say the third District Police Station situated in Mile 4, Limbe came under attack from suspected separatist fighters killing two police inspectors while a police woman succeeded to escape with bullet wounds.
She is currently receiving treatment in a hospital in Limbe, sources confirmed.
The armed men were however repelled in their attempts to set the Police Station ablaze though they made away with several weapons.
The Divisional Officer for Limbe I Epale Seraphin was on ground in the morning to assess the situation.
