At least three corpses were discovered in Kumba, Meme Division of the South West region on Tuesday February 12, sources have said.

The circumstances leading to her their death are still unclear but the corpses were found around the Kumba II council Business Center in Kosala with blood from bullet wounds.

Given the lockdown that has engulfed the North West and South West regions, residents could hardly determine if they were separatist fighters killed in clashes with soldiers or civilians but gunshots have been heard in the locality in Kumba since February 10.

Abandoned corpses in some streets in Kumba have become a recurrent theme in the past weeks as fighting regularly erupts between security forces and separatist fighters.
