At least seven persons are reported dead in a road accident that occurred this Monday morning around Boumnyebel, along the Yaounde- Douala highway, sources have confirmed.

Sources say the accident involved an inter-urban transport bus belonging to “General Expresse voyage” and a bus branded Toyota Hiace.

The inter-urban bus which was driving from Douala is said to have collided with the Hiace bus around Boumnyebel, some 120 kilometres away from the Yaounde- Douala highway, leaving at least seven dead and many injured.

The causes of the accident are still to be established but, meantime, the bodies and the injured have been respectively transported to close mortuaries and health facilities.
