The Archbishop of Bamenda, His Grace Andrew Nkea Fuanya says government should focus more on development projects in the North West and South West Régions in order to build confidence within the population.
He was speaking in Buea on the sidelines of the the follow up meeting on the implémentations of the recommendations of the Major National Dialogue which held in 2019.
“It is becoming clearer and clearer that the recommendations(of the Major National Dialogue) are being implemented. But again, we are saying that now that they have put in place the régional councils, they have put in place regional organisations, we are also talking on some major aspects of development like road issues… and we recommended that those things will help to pacify the populations,”Archbishop Andrew Nkea said.
” We are talking about the Bamenda-Babadjou road and the road in various other places that have to be developed to pacify the population,”he added.
The meeting which is holding at the National School of Local Administration, NASLA, is presided over by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute.
Delegates are drawn from the various committees that were set up during the Major National Dialogue as they evaluate the road covered so far in terms of implementing the recommendations.
