The biological family of the late bishop of Bafia, Bishop Jean Marie Benoît Bala, has requested for permission to mourn the prelate.

According to local news reports, the late Bishop’s family representatives from Tsinga and Etoudi asked Bishop Samuel Kleda, the President of the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon, to allow them organise another funeral for their son, so they could mourn him. A request which sources say the archbishop accepted.

Going by the reports, Bishop Bala’s family plan to organise the mourning program in Oveng, a locality in the Dja-and Lobo division by the end of August. The announcement was made Thursday August 3 during the religious service organised in Bafia within the framework of the official funeral of the prelate.

Information on the funeral program in Oveng, will be communicated in the days ahead.
