The Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atanga Nji has presented the first phase of Government’s Emergency Humanitarian plan to the national and international community today in Douala.
Materials destined for the affected population range from toilett materials, cooking oil, sugar, farming tools and construction materials were all presented to the media and international partners.
Some of the international partners present were the The World Food Program, the International and National Red Cross and Crescent societies also present.
The Minister of Territorial Administration revealed the Government has three stock centres; one in the North West Region, another in the South West Region and a central stockage warehouse at the Militaire base in Douala.
He reiterated that the military will visit all the affected areas to deliver the materials and reconstruct structures that were destroyed.
This is the start of the first phase of the distribution of aid since Paul Atanga Nji revealed last week that in a press conference that the operation will effectively start this week.
