Another accident in Yaounde kills three

The incident occurred between Friday and Saturday night, not far from the factory of Les Brasseries of Cameroun around Mvan.

A Prado, allegedly a state car lost control before finfing its way under a logging truck. The vehicle had four people on board. Three died on the spot, and the fourth was taken to the emergency room, where he is under intensive care.

According to several sources, one of the victims, Eve Marie Owona, was a journalism student at the Advance School of Mass Communication, ASMAC.

Her classmates and friends have been weeping since her death was announced early this morning.

One of them says by phone : “We were preparing for exams. The words are heavy to pronounce, only tears express what is in the bottom of our hearts … it’s a broken dream.

This is the second life-claiming accident that is occuring in Yaounde in the space of 48 hours.

Last Thursday, a truck lost control at the Chapelle Ngousso hill before crashing onto, roadside sellers at the Eleveur neighbourhood, killing at least five people.

The driver of the truck, fled the scene of the accident and has since not been seen.
