Two police officers kidnapped in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon have been brutally killed by their abductors, sources have said.

On Tuesday, gruesome images of police officer Patrice Dinguegue aka Ahidjo surfaced online showing him dead with parts of his body amputated. The officer was abducted early this month in Fundong and appeared in a video calling on authorities to take measures to solve the crisis in the two English-speaking regions.

Another police officer that was discovered dead on Tuesday was Police Inspector Inspector Nwenguela Susan who was abducted on Saturday June 24 at Mile 1 road Kumba. Sources say she was abducted at about 3pm after she left her residence to visit a family member. Her corpse has been deposited at the Kumba District Hospital Mortuary.

This comes to add to the number of security forces killed in the Anglophone crisis after the government revealed last week that 84 security forces had died since the crisis escalated, accusing separatists of targetting security forces.
