The Presidential candidate was in Kembong at the weekend to take stock of the consequences of the crisis on the village that has forced several persons to desert the village.

Barrister Akere Muna was in Kembong where he met with local religious authorities who took him round the village to show the damages caused by the military violence on the village.


Accompanied by his brother Ben Muna, Alice Sadio of the AFP party, Maboula Mboya and Eric Chinje, and Prince Ekosso, all of the coalition platform,Akere Muna met with the Bishop of Mamfe His Lordship Bishop Andrew Nkea who took him around the Diocese where he met persons displaced as a result of the conflict.

On his return from Mamfe, he made a stop over in Kumba and his environs where he preached his vision of bringing a solution to the crisis in that part of the country.

“You can decide to lament about the past or create hope for the future, ” he told the population gathered.

“The best we can do for those who are gone is to make sure that we live in peace and have a better country.”

He later made another stop in Buea where he held a meeting with start- ups at the Silicon Mountain before heading to Mutengene and Tiko to commune with members of his “Now Movement” in the areas

He rounded up his trip in the South West region with a service at the Presbyterian Church, Down Beach Limbe to receive blessings.
