Work has resumed at the Roumde Adjia stadium in Garoua after workers grounded their tools at the start of the week to protest against poor working conditions and salary arrears.

The workers resumed work on Wednesday after negotiations with authorities of Prime Potomac and regional authorities on Wednesday.

The authorities have promised to pay them their salary arrears and improve on their working conditions as the workers has been urged to return to work  so as to meet up with the deadlines before the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The works resumed on Tuesday as the Minister of Sports and Physical Education Pierre Ismael Bidoung Mkpatt chaired a meeting in Yaounde with the various coordinators of the construction sites.

The meeting was aimed at preparing for the next visit from the Caf inspection mission scheduled in the weeks ahead across the country.
