Several persons are presently receiving treatment at various medical facilities in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon after surviving a road accident early on Thursday morning.

The accident occured when a bus belonging to the Vatican Express company collided with a heavy duty truck before finding its way into a gutter.

Fortunately, no deaths were recorded but several persons injured were transported to nearby medical facilities in the North West region.

The accident comes just barely a week after another ghastly accident along the Douala-Bamenda higway which claimed the lives of several passengers.

Early in January, another accident in Dschang involving a clandestine transport bus which slipped into a valley left at least 21 persons dead.
