Gunmen suspected to be separatists have killed a motorbike taxi driver and kidnapped a passenger in the North West region headquarter.

Another tragedy in the city of Bamenda, North West Region. On 10 June, a motorbike driver was killed and his passenger kidnapped. The identities of the slain rider and the abducted passenger are currently unknown.

The incident occurred at Mile 5 Nkwen. According to witnesses, the gunmen opened fire on the motorcycle taxi driver, killing him instantly. This attack comes against a backdrop of renewed violence in Bamenda, with recent attacks on taxis by Ambazonia separatist forces, who have also launched a plan to force taxi drivers to change the colour of their vehicles.
