The United Democratic Party(UDP) has launched its 2018 Senatorial campaigns in the North West Region, promising to outsmart the SDF and the CPDM in the March 25 polls.
Speaking in Bamenda while launching the campaigns, the Senatorial list leader, El Hadji Lawan Bako, said the party will win all the Senatorial seats in the North West.
The list leader, who is also the National Chair of the party, boasted that he will used the same strategy which he implored in 2013 to convince councillors in the Region to vote for the CPDM, instead of the SDF
His strategy, he said, aided the CPDM victory in the 2013 polls. “This year that my party list has been validated by ELECAM, we’ll certainly go through.”
The UDP list leader said the party is investing people who can conveniently represent the electorate in the Upper House of Parliament.
He promised the electorate that if given the opportunity, his party will seek for a genuine solution to the Anglophone Crisis, engage in numerous development projects, rekindle the patriotic spirit in the Cameroonian Diaspora and reduce the migration of Cameroonians to foreign countries by providing the enabling environment among others.
The UDP National Chair further asserted that his party provide a glorious opportunity for the population of the North West Region to experience something new and different, away from the SDF and CPDM distractions that have not brought any meaning development to the Region.
He urged councillors to make the unique choice and enjoy the rewards after the March 25 polls.
