The Social Democratic Front has tasked the elections management body, Elecam to withdraw all illegal polling stations ahead of the Presidential election billed for October 7.

This is one of the resolutions arrived at during the party’s National Executive Meeting held this weekend at the residence of the party’s Chairman in Bamenda.

“(The SDF) enjoins Elecam to comply with the law by withdrawing all illegal polling stations set up in military barracks, Presidential palace, and Chiefs palaces,” the party said in a statement.

This is not the first time the party is making such calls with its regional branch in Yaounde also drawin the attention of Elecam and administrative authorities on the need to withdraw polling centres from barracks.

The party has also urged registered voters to beginning withdrawing their cards from the various Elecam branches ahead of the election.

On voting by refugees and internally displaced persons as a result of the crisis in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon, the party called on Elecam to inform Cameroonians on the solutions it has taken to solve their voting issue
