The flag bearer of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement at the October 7 Presidential election Maurice Kamto has dismissed results circulating on social media attributing a landslide victory to incumbent Paul Biya.

It has been a social media buzz this weekend with alleged “leaked results” showing Paul Biya winner of the Presidential election with over 71 percent-it was even been relayed by the BBC Afrique on Monday morning.

However, Maurice Kamto in a statement on Monday morning dismissed such results describing them as “fabricated”.

“CRM and its coalition of political parties and other organisations built in support of the candidacy of Maurice KAMTO have categorically rejected these falsified results,”Maurice Kamto said in a statement.

“These fake figures are originating from fabricated result sheets of some fake observers who claimed to be of Transparency International, but were later on unmasked, as they were trying to convince the national and international public to accept.

The statement later reiterated Maurice Kamto’s stance on his self proclamation as winner of the October 7 Presidential election.

The coalition in this election continues to insist on the victory of Maurice KAMTO in relation to the original result shits of the polls at the end of the day of October 7, 2018.

The head of Maurice Kamto’s campaign team Paul Eric Kingue will grant a press conference later on Monday as the national vote counting commission submits the return sheets to the Constitutional Council.

The Council will on Tuesday October 16 begin examining petitions filed by candidates with regards to the conduct of the election.
